Welcome to jjsound.co.za. By accessing our website and engaging our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please review them carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, you should not use this site or our services.

1. Definitions

  • "The Company," "We," "Us": Refers to JJ Sound Pty LTD.
  • "The Client," "You": Refers to the individual, company, or entity hiring equipment or services from The Company.
  • "Equipment": Refers to all audio-visual equipment, including but not limited to speakers, mixers, projectors, screens, microphones, cables, and stands provided by The Company.
  • "Services": Refers to all services provided by The Company, including delivery, setup, on-site technical operation, and collection.

2. Quotations & Bookings

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated.
  • A booking is only considered confirmed upon receipt of a signed agreement and/or a required deposit payment.
  • The Company reserves the right to substitute equipment with items of a similar or higher specification.

3. Payment Terms

  • A non-refundable deposit of 50% is typically required to confirm a booking.
  • The final balance is due on or before the date of the event, prior to the commencement of setup, unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
  • Payments can be made via Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). The Company reserves the right to charge interest on overdue accounts.

4. Client Responsibilities & Dry Hire

  • For "Dry Hire" (where the Client collects and operates the equipment), the Client assumes full responsibility for the Equipment from the moment it leaves our premises until it is returned.
  • The Client is responsible for ensuring the Equipment is used in a safe and appropriate manner by competent persons.
  • The Client is liable for any loss or damage to the Equipment during the hire period, from any cause whatsoever. We strongly recommend the Client secures appropriate insurance cover.

5. Staffed Productions & On-Site Operation

  • For staffed events, the Client must ensure a safe working environment and provide adequate access to the venue for setup and breakdown.
  • The Client must provide access to a reliable and sufficient power supply. The Company is not responsible for event failures due to inadequate venue power.

6. Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the event date may forfeit the deposit.
  • Cancellations made within 7 days of the event date will be liable for the full hire fee.
  • Cancellations must be made in writing.

7. Liability

  • The Company's liability for any and all claims, losses, or damages arising out of this agreement is limited to the total fees paid by the Client for the service.
  • The Company is not responsible for any indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, due to equipment failure or any other reason.
